Patreon & the pro palette
The Pro Palette is now live on Patreon!
Yes, you heard that right. The infamous Patreon platform that is home to numerous miniature painters and creators of all disciplines will now also host my Pro Palette Content published under my name Bb Miniatures. The keyword in that statement is “Also”, as I will be still keeping the Pro Palette updates and memberships active here without change. This comes at a time when I’ve had to really consider my growth as an artist/creator, and how to best reach a wider audience. My initial decision to start my own website for the Pro Palette came as an extension of how I wanted to present my work and organize the video tutorials presented. Creating a more personalized experience and making it easier to find not only the latest tutorials but also finding what materials you wanted to study at the time. Even the separate categories of Model Series and Foundation Series are important to me, and the website gave me that extra flexibility in layout and design.
Now with Patreon, I can hope to reach out further to many hobbyists more familiar with the platform and possibly more comfortable with its membership process. The same content will be published on both platforms, and I won’t be making any sacrifices in that manner of quality. I believe in staying true to yourself as art demands honesty and passion to deliver your best work. So you won’t be seeing any “Slap Chop” or speed painting from me, as its simply not in my enjoyment of painting. I’m happy for others who find joy in that and don’t knock it at all. I think the majority of you members as well as fans of my work know where my passions lay, and as I will continue to teach what I’m passionate about.
So that pretty much sums up the news! All my Pro Palette Content is remaining here, and is also available on Patreon. Feel free if you’re currently a member on my website to switch if that’s your preferred platform, and you will still get the same content and updates. Or stick around in the classic delivery and enjoy a more tailored layout. I’ve been in talks with Squarespace my website host and builder with possible changes to offering multiple tier memberships to mirror Patreon as well. Always i’m in the looks to help improve the experience of the Pro Palette front to back for you all.
