Leman Russ Battle Tank!

Alongside the new first part tutorial of painting this classic re-imagined and updated tank kit. I also wanted to give you readers and students of the Pro Palette a bunch of high resolution reference images to both enjoy and study with your own tank project. Whether you are going to work on the new leman russ kit, or apply these techniques and even full colour recipes into your own vehicle kits is up to you.

I truly had a tremendous time painting and modelling this kit to this degree. Where I find scale modelling techniques require patience (allowing ample time for applications to dry and not rushing), the actual working process is very forgiving as working with enamels has a longer working window than acrylics. Being able to move the pigments around and even wiping them off entirely if we seriously screw up. It’s a nice change in pace, and I hope you all enjoy this style of painting as a little pause from my more character centric miniature paintings.
