Welcome the new year by raising the dead!

Coming into 2024 has been filled with a LOT of skeletons, and not the ones in my closet! Games Workshop has brought back a beloved game of Warhammer Fantasy with the return to the Old World, rather the World of Legend. I can't tell you enough on how excited I am to be getting fantasy back and all that it encompasses. Where the Age of Sigmar from a miniature standpoint I think has GW's best miniatures overall, the game itself and the story has never captured my imagination enough to take the plunge to collect an entire range and roll the dice with friends. That doesn't stop me from painting one-off pieces of course and honestly, that's perfectly fine with me. Seeing as I spend 99% of my hobby with a brush in hand at my desk painting. But Fantasy, and in particular the Tomb Kings are something special that I'm eager to get painting and rolling dice once again! Yea I think 2024 will be a year that I want to actually get some honest games in. To remember my roots as a wargamer and connect with old friends over our painted armies, a joint in hand, and creating new gaming memories.

As for the Patreon front, I will be kicking off the launch of The World of Legend with two tutorials! First off next week we have an army painting tutorial that dives into my method of painting skeletons, cause this army needs a lot of em! In order to make an actual playable force, I've been experimenting and coming up with an impactful scheme that can be made to look great in a reasonable time span. From the paint recipe to my cliff notes through the tutorial on the production line. This one will be an excellent start for all of you wanting to join Settra and claim the Old World under his rule.

Secondly, there isn't painting without getting into character details as I think you know by now that I love getting into the finer stuff. The new Tomb Kings Bone Dragon is one monster of a plastic kit that will make a definitive centrepiece on the battlefield. This multi-part series will be covering the various aspects of the big guy starting with the Dragons Skull.

Finally, with one last piece of news, I'll be taking a little vacation starting on January 25th. My partner has booked us 2 tickets to Japan, and I will be gone for two weeks! She's amazing and I'm super lucky to have her saving all of our aeroplane miles through since Covid to score us the flights.

That's all for now. See you all soon and Happy Painting,

Bb
