Horus Luprical Ascended.

This miniature encompasses many ideas, techniques, and newly developed techniques learned from the observation of a myriad of painters that inspire me with their renditions. I really wanted to bring more control of light falling and of important angles to best illuminate him. He is after all the Warmaster, and everything about this sculpture really speaks about him. Everything about painting him was fantastic and challenging. With each section a fun puzzle to put together, making sure the lighting fit in place and all the shadows and bounce lights hit right. Best of all this is also for my friend (Big) Jon! A diehard Sons of Horus fan and one that had me on note asking for Horus when he inevitably came out with the Ascended version. One of the best pieces of art lended to me, and pleased to have brought it light and shadow.
