Troggoth King is underway

I'm back From the Desk and what I can show you is the emergence of the new Troggoth King is underway as I start on his skin. Blocking in the brown and green bold areas with the airbrush to get some tones on the model, and then is straight to the brush. Painting large monster flesh is quite fun and filled with a lot of larger brush strokes and scratchy marks. Curing it between unifying layers to soften things up before going right back at it with more marks and more layers to build up the values. This of course is being filmed under my lens and going to make for a great tutorial. Perfect for those that are tackling those larger monster miniatures as a lot of the techniques I'll be going through are geared towards these big beasts. I used to think that large areas of flesh were quite daunting to tackle or that an airbrush was needed in order to do them right. That is just not the case, and I find it easier to create a more interesting flesh in this way. Stay tuned, as I'll be filling you all with more updates of this miniature unfolding and other creatures which stir in the night in the Age of Sigmar!
