Updates!

Hey everyone, with the swing of 2025 comes in a new season of painting with a turn towards some competition pieces! For those who were with me over a year ago, this White Scars Contemptor Dreadnought was going to be my first entry into Golden Daemon, but the project had to be shelved due to my lack of funding to make the trip (west coast Canada makes every event heavy on an artists salary). But with the growth and support primarily from all you Patreons, I’ve got my ticket, hotel booked, and I’m ready to commit to the whole process! With that also comes sharing the painting process with you, and the lessons I’ll be learning in my own trials along the way.

Next weeks tutorial will be a return to the Fundamental’s series with a detailed colour mixing tutorial and palette modes. This tutorial I find will be helpful in the considerations I take when creating a palette, strategies on determining highlights & shadows. As well as different working configurations that you can implement and to find the one that suits you. This tutorial really comes as my upcoming projects are getting much more colour focused, and this should help in giving you all solid foundation of concepts and terminology.

After that, the wonderful bust from Mindworks Games Hair of the Moon inspired by Brom will begin as well as the White Scars Lotus Project will take the stage.

If any of you are going to be attending Gold Daemon 2025 in the US, please shoot me a message in the comments below! It’s a great opportunity to meet you in person and experience the comp together! Have a great Friday & Happy Painting 🎨✌️
