Ultramarines contemptor Dreadnought.

I Love painting Dreadnoughts. It’s one of those kits where you really just get to paint a giant Space Marine that’s totally posable to your heart’s content, has plenty of space to place decals and paint some freehand designs, and allows your focus to be on one model much like you would a Character HQ model. This piece is no different in those perks as I wanted to bring focus and attention through light and shadow. Bringing that focal point to the right side of the head, outstretched with his arm, down the front of the leg, all while finding physical value in his balance with his Lascannon Weapon array outstretched. It has a lot of blended elements from the use of both NMM and TMM techniques, along with freehand painted elements as well as decals to decorate the armoured canvas. I’m looking forward to painting many more Dreadnoughts in the coming of the new Horus Heresy and be on the lookout for future ones that involve the White Scars & Thousand Sons coming soon!
